seriously i’ve always loved this website, so much time and effort goes into the projects
Today’s lunch: chicken, broccoli, corn and ajvar relish (made from red bell peppers, with eggplant, garlic and chili pepper, sooo yummy)
I really want to make this a permanent change for the better, and keep going after my sister’s wedding :)
What’s the difference whether you make it a cheat or a choice?
The difference is how the decision to treat yourself will make you feel. Making it a choice gives you the upper hand and tells you that you’re still in charge. You wanted to eat a something high-calorie or unhealthy, so you did. Saying it’s a choice gives you the food awareness you need to have a healthy relationship with food. Saying it’s a cheat, on the other hand, will give you feelings of failure. Really, just the negative tone of the word is enough to make you feel bad about yourself. But if you say that eating something you normally would decide against was a choice you willingly made, you won’t have to “get back on track” because you were never off track in the first place.
Frontal progress from March to now. I wasn’t even at my heaviest on the left, I had already lost 10 lbs when I had taken that photo. I started my journey in February 2012.
I’m 12 pounds away from my UGW and pretty excited. :)
